And the Europeanisation of Bulgaria. Presented in selected areas of state administration and society (1861 - 1887 - 1912). The book is a thorough narrative of the modernization of Bulgaria from 1887 to 1912. One period of 25 years of Bulgaria's peaceful existence, apart from the social turmoil. In these years Bulgaria went from being an Ottoman Asian province to a European state. This was, of course, the consequence of a great popular, especially elitist, push towards Europe, led by the Bulgarian ruler - Prince, later Tsar, Ferdinand I. His participation in this great upsurge is the subject of this book. It is the ... |

He bowed to her and said a few words which she could not hear. All the time, he looked at her with the same expression - one of complete love. She was overcome by a feeling of great joy. "Is it possible a good novel to be written in Bulgaria in a team - and even in a triple co-authorship? What's more - that the very act of writing is more of a game, a shared creative energy and intelligent thought for the whole, rather than an internal struggle for supremacy of the authors' individual voices? The book you hold in your hands is just that. This debut novel has everything that can provoke and hold the reader's curiosity: an intriguing story, vivid conflicts, tension that grows with precise dynamics, love stories in two parallel storylines: in modern times and in ancient Egypt; drama, wise ... |

The purpose I pursue with this book is to compare the information that has come down to us from old writers and to draw some conclusions about the people who spread the Bulgarian state to the Balkans, without resorting to the numerous contemporary books that I have read and that fill my library. I do this not out of disrespect for the tremendous work of contemporary Bulgarian writers and historians, but out of a desire to make an independent assessment of events and to draw my own conclusions about the relationship and sequence of events and their consequences by reading only older authors. I hope the book will find a ... |

This collection incorporates selected texts of various types, including: conference reports; materials intended for national projects or programs; scientific articles; international projects; theoretical works; communications. The compiler’s idea is to provide a mirror-like picture of the developments in the Bulgarian library-and-information sector on the basis of the above texts; to outline the trends of development of this sector during this period; to present some theoretical works containing projections and different policies [that could be] implemented within the library-and-information spectrum. This publication is ... |
